🎄 Festive Pottery Workshop 🎄- Gnomes + Trees

November 14th - 13.30 - 16.30.

Come along for a fun and festive pottery workshop, perfect for beginners and anyone looking to get creative this Christmas! Whether you’re joining us on your own or bringing a friend, this relaxed and friendly session is a chance to switch off, get hands-on with clay and enjoy some festive fun. No previous pottery experience is needed.

Using clay slabs, you’ll learn how to cut, shape and assemble your own festive gnomes and Christmas trees. Once your pieces are made, you can get creative with colourful decorating slips, textured rollers, stamps and a variety of tools to add patterns, texture and personality to your designs.

You should also have time to make some hanging decorations using our selection of festive cutters.

A lovely way to spend a few hours relaxing, getting creative and embracing the festive season. Make something unique, have some fun and leave with your own handmade Christmas decorations.

Once dried your work will be professionally fired twice and glazed for a glossy finish, this process takes 2-3 weeks. We will arrange a date where you can collect your work from the front desk at the Community + Arts centre. If this isn’t suitable and we may be able to arrange an alternative. If you prefer we can post your ceramic pieces, please be aware there is an additional charge for this.

When: Saturday 14th November - 13.30 - 16.30

·       Duration: 3 hours

·       Price: £40

·       Ages: Under 16’s should be accompanied by an adult

·       Skill Level: Suitable for beginners – no prior experience required

·       What’s Included: All clay, slips, tools, and firing and glazing, your one-of-a-kind designs to keep.

·       What to Wear: Old clothes or an apron - clay can be messy!

·       🔥 Firing & Collection: Your decorated piece will be fired and ready for collection in 2–3 weeks

·       Spaces: Maximum group of 18

Hiya, my name is Jaime and I am a local potter based in Nairn. I moved here last year and after setting my little home studio up I am so excited to now offer workshops, meet other creative people and hopefully have a laugh! I studied ceramics at university and will happily share my knowledge, tips and tricks and chat all things pottery to anyone who’ll listen.

Workshop Refund Policy

We totally understand — sometimes life happens!

  • Cancel at least 48 hours before: You’ll get a full refund or can move your booking to another date.

  • Less than 48 hours / no-show: Since we’ve already prepared the materials we are not able to offer a refund or reschedule.

  • If we need to cancel: You’ll get a full refund or can choose a new date — whatever works best for you!

Just a heads-up: Clay can occasionally crack while drying or firing, it's pretty rare and the kiln gods are generally on our side, but it does happen on occasion. Howvever - we'll do our very best to prevent it!
